Michael and I have spent 10 months remodeling our bathroom this past year. We completely redesigned it by relocating the sink & toilet, adding back in the window, and making a walk in shower. Below are photos of the before and after pictures. We designed our color scheme off of a tree picture Michael took in Marathon Fl. a few years back. We love it as our centerpiece of the room.
Before - There was no window and the sink was blocking some of the walkway into the bathroom.
After - We put in a sound system hooked up to a iphone, and put a hole at the top of the shower wall to let steam travel thought out the room.
Before- This is the before picture showing no window and the closet area being closed off.
After - We opened up the room by tearing the wall down that had the closet and relocated the toilet and sink opening up the room a lot more.
The bathroom window was closed off, offering no natural lighting.
We fell in love with the natural stone bowls at: http://www.signaturehardware.com/bathroom/bathroom-sinks.html?cat=vessel-sinks&dir=asc&order=position We also loved the idea of having a heated towel rack since we have hot water heat. We found some awesome designs at: http://usa.hudsonreed.com/hydronic-towel-warmers/hydronic-towel-warmers-the-full-collection.html
The closed off room was actually a old closet.
Relocating the plumbing work to the new space.
The fold down seat was also from Hudson Reed which is great to fold up when not in use. We used Hansgrohe Shower heads, and Michael had to have the rain head.
