Sauntering into Fall

Well, hello there! It’s been a while!

I’ve had a very busy couple of months with travel, work, and mothering that I haven’t had a chance to do much in this space. But, I’m here now! And now is the perfect time to talk about my favorite fall transition tips.

When it comes to heading into Fall your accessories are going to do the talking. Especially the footwear. You can take a basic summer dress and style it perfectly for the cooler season approaching. Here are four ways to smoothly head into the beloved Fall season.

1. Fabrics

When it comes to the cooler season think about the kind of fabric and textures. The grey dress I’m wearing is a very soft but lightweight sweater material.

2. Booties!

They’ll take basically any outfit to a fall level in a very simple way. A peep toed bootie is even better on the days it’s not very cool at all.

3. Colors

Think neutrals or darker tones to really lean into autumn. I truly love to pair navy with other colors in the fall and winter. It can be unexpected.

4. Hats and Scarves

I saved the best for last! Swap out that summer straw hat for a thicker felt brim one. Hair need washed? Grab a hat. Also, a scarf can really add a luxe feel to any outfit. Opt for a lighter one for when the weather is still a little warm.

I don’t know about you, but I’m very ready to bid Summer adieu and say hello to many of our favorite season! Now, go grab your booties and head to the pumpkin patch!

Fall Fashion 2024

Hello, Friends!

It’s that time of year again! I’m sharing a few of my favorite trends for the fall season. I’ll start with my usual disclaimer which is: trends are just that. If you don’t like one never feel like you should have to wear it. Always stay true to yourself.

I’ve got to say, I’ve had a very busy summer and especially August. From mothering to traveling and everything in between it’s been nonstop. But, today I’m bringing you six of my favorite trends this fall.

  1. Very Wide Leg Denim

Let me start off by saying I still love a skinny jean. But like, honestly I like a ton of different denim and always have. This season is all about big and baggy denim. I surly welcome this because it’s so different from the much loved (by us millennials) skinny jean.

    2. Neutrals - especially Sage Green

This has always been one of my favorite colors to wear (also my eye color). This color is going to be everywhere and you can do so much with it. Add a black and white stripe to it, brown, black, cream. All good ways to wear this trend.

3. Bows!

They are absolutely everywhere this season. On tops, chokers, even shoes. This bow vibe really adds a soft elegant feel to any outfit.

4.Leopard

Now, this is not a trend to me because I wear it all the time and let me honest, I probably always will. So if you have some leopard feel free to wear it knowing you’re on trend.

5. Slip Dresses

I love this trend because you can make this dress work in so many different ways. You could add a cozy fall sweater over it, long sleeve shirt under it, or even a blazer.

6. Over The Knee Boots

This is another one that I usually wear in the cooler months. But, they are once again trending and you’ll be seeing more of them. These boots also really help to make a slip dress feel more like fall.

I might be in Hawaii right now but I will certainly be ready to head home and completely dive into the fall season and fall content.

Thanks for stopping by today!

A Refreshing Summer Sip

Hello!! Happy Friday and Weekend!

There was a point on this blog that I wouldn’t even do a Martini Moment with a cocktail involving Gin. But, in typical me fashion, being that I absolutely hate not liking something, I made myself like gin (I’ll so the same with foods). And let me just say that I now love a Gimlet (usually involving gin) in my soul.

Today is no exception…

This cocktail is perfect for summer. The cucumber really brings out such a fresh taste that I just adore. An added bonus? This drink is fast, easy, and perfect for your next Apéritif (happy hour)!

what you do:

This couldn’t be easier! Throw a couple slices of cucumber at the bottom of a shaker (I did six). Then add your lime juice and muddle. After that, just add in your booze and shake, shake, shake! Pour into a glass of your choosing and enjoy!

When using gin typically the one I grab is Hendricks and as far as elderflower liquor goes I like St. Germain.

Have the best weekend to you all!
