Work Fit One

Hello, hello Friends!

Fashion is such a big part of my life and I love getting to share it with you. If you follow me on Insta (@thefastfashionista) then you know I always share my work outfits. When I did this post last year it was a big hit so here I am again sharing what I pulled for our first and largest job of the year.

  1. The Savvy Set

I’ve had this vest and pant set hanging in my closet waiting for the perfect moment to be worn. The first thing I always have to think about is being able to move. I chose a brown and tan color palette because I really wanted to wear these platform shoes. As far as accessories go, I opted for a scarf wrapped around a decorative bow. And I’ll tell you this girl absolutely loves a hat and that was the finishing touch on day one.

2. The Cobalt Zebra

One thing to know for this season is that zebra is going to be big! That’s where I started with this outfit. I couldn’t wait to wear these pants! One of my favorite things to do is style an outfit with these cobalt shoes. But I was a big fan of this color palette because I feel like the blue was as little unexpected. It was a pretty chilly day so a furry vest felt appropriate. My black pearls tied the look together.

3. The Favorite

I had to be in this outfit for about 12 hours so it’s a good thing that it was my favorite and that it was very comfortable. I love the complexity of the bodysuit and the way it goes and doesn’t go with the pants. Gold stilettos felt like the just the right way to punch up this outfit. Layered gold necklaces were the perfect addition to the look.

4. The Golden Gal

Another getup that I had to be in for a long time so it had to be cute and cozy. It absolutely was. Red accents felt right here because it is absolutely one of my favorite colors.

5. Black and White Whimsy

I really liked this outfit because I love when a look has two different fabrics. I decided to wear a sheer top underneath for a little extra flavor. Black spikey boots, hate and pearls were what tied this all together.

6. Dopamine Dressed

Sometimes when you’re feeling a little wore out and tired all you can do is dress bright! One of my favorite combinations is a watermelon vibe. I also love this necklace because it really pumps up a look. Plus this cardigan was so very cozy.

7. All About the Boots

Not much to this look but I really wanted to wear these boots because they are on their way out. I just needed cozy on this day and that’s exactly what it was. Spanx pants are always perfect for comfort.

8. I love a Set

This is one of my favorite outfits because you can do so many different things with it. More scarf work here, I love to do this with scarves. I buttoned the buttons with the scarf over top of them and tied it around my waist. These boots were the perfect pop of color.

9. Day Nine Denim

I was freezing and this hot pink wool blazer was perfect for a day like that. These black jeans I have on are my favorite pair. I added a fun floral bodysuit under to pull those two pieces together. Black and gold sparkly shoes were the finishing touch.

10. Superhero

I found these pants in my closet with tags still on so I figured it was a good time to wear them. I’ve had this superhero cape for a long time and it just happened to have a stripe that matched my pants. A white bodysuit was next but it needed something. This cute pearl accessory was the perfect addition. For shoes, my old faithful leopard booties that also matched the pants.

11. Last Day Vibes

For the eleventh and last day shooting, I opted for (another) sheer but this time fuzzy shirt. I always like to add in other layers so this cute tweed top was the centerpiece. Once again pants I could move around in. Annnnd a hat. It felt right to bookend the shoot with hats. Since there are silver metallic pieces in the top, I thought silver metallic boots would be perfect. Accessorized with silver jewelry.

And that’s a wrap! On this job that is. Soon we are on to the next and I’ll have more outfits to share.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Marvelous Mezze

Hey there, All!

One thing is for certain about me when it comes to me and eating is I like to pick more than sit down and eat. At the moment I am very busy with work and kiddos and have very little time for anything let alone eating. So, what I’ve been doing is putting a 15-minute Mediterranean Mezze board on my counter and pick at it as I want it and have time.

But wait. What is a Mezze board? By definition it is:

Mezze (or meze) is an assortment of small dishes eaten as appetizers or a light meal. Its contents vary by region, but the concept of grazing on a board filled with savory goodies remains the same.

Simple, right?

Picture it. Do laundry, have a bite, clean a room, have a bite. Honestly as a stay-at-home mom and running a business this is the way to do it. I never sit and I run around all day. Yes, there’s something to be said for making yourself sit and enjoy your food. However, this current week is go, go, go and there’s no time for that. So, let’s take a few minutes and make it. Here is how I made mine…

what you need:

  • Pita

  • Baguette

  • Olives

  • Artichokes

  • Hummus

  • Tzatziki

  • A meat, I used sopressata

  • Feta

  • Roasted red pepper

  • Cucumber

  • Cherry tomatoes

The beauty of throwing this together is there is no specific formula. I had most of this already in my house.

Believe me when I say this is a fast appetizer or light meal to throw together because I didn’t have much time to do so. I do recommend having olives, artichoke, and roasted red peppers in your cabinet ready to pull out for such an occasion. Mediterranean and Greek food is my favorite, so I usually always have things like feta, pita, and cucumbers. But feel free to make this board your own. Especially if you are a little board (pun intended) of charcuterie. Even though it isn’t that far off, still a little different.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, Friends!

A Fast Bite

Happy Wednesday to you!

It sure is no secret that many of us try to eat healthier in the new year and I’m about to be one busy girl. This delicious and quick recipe will help you get there. Salmon is always a great place to start when you are really looking to improve your eating. Like I said no fuss when it comes to this blog. So here is the recipe and what you need for…

“Fast Salmon Salad”

what you do:

Shred your radishes, chop those cucumbers, and chop that onion. Then throw them in a bowl. Cook your salmon the way you like it and throw it in too! I also added dill, oregano, and garlic salt. Mix it all together.

in a different bowl, juice the lemon, mince the garlic, and add 1/2 cup lite Mircle Whip (or mayo), and one teaspoon of Dijon mustard. Mix it and add it in with everything.

You can use lettuce ups like I did, or you can put them on bread or a cracker. This recipe is great because you can just have it in the fridge waiting for you.

Sending you all the good health this year!
