The Fast Fashionista

Let’s Do This, 2023!

Happy 2023 my dear Friends!

I don’t know about you but I for one am pretty thrilled (as I always am) to welcome a new year. We always hit the ground running in January as we start our seemingly never ending “busy season” with the photo biz. But, I still try to, as I fondly call it “get my creative out” and still blog while working some crazy hours in this fabulous first month.

I do this post every year as kind of an outline of what my hopes are for The Fast Fashionista in the coming year. I thought long and hard about it and then it came to me. Stop overthinking it (my specialty). My fashion and lifestyle part of Fast Fash is simply going to be fast and easy ways to add just a little glam, sparkle, and …fizz to your everyday life. No matter what that looks like. Simple ways to elevate life.

The Perfectly Plated part of my blog is something I enjoy deeply. Few things I love more than drinking wine in my kitchen and cooking. Sharing that with you is always such a bonus. I love fancy food made easy and would love to continue to do that with my French loving flair drizzled in.

Oh, cocktails…

Such an early love of mine. I started bartending at age 18 I immediately fell in love with mixing drinks. “My Martini Moment” has taken on many different shapes in the close to nine years I’ve had this blog. I love creating and making cocktails, even more, sharing them. This is a skill I’m always trying to get better at.

As always, thank you for being here, wether you’re new to this site, a loyal follower, or tune in every now and again. Thank you, thank you, and thank you! I often get asked why I don’t monetize this blog. The simple answer? I don’t want to. All I want is to share my creative vibes with you. That’s enough for me.

My wish for you is that this new year brings you endless happiness, nothing but delicious food, and dazzling drinks with only the very best company.

Cheers to you and yours!

Easily en Trend

Happy Monday to you all!

With Fall being just three days away I thought it was a good time to share two very easy ways that you can be on trend. You probably already have at least one of these in your closet.

I combined two trends here and they are very easy and chic at the same time. It might sound like a “no duh” piece but the white tank has been just everywhere and definitely continues into the cooler season. Great to layer with or use it as a transitional piece. Wear it in the day when its warm but throw something over it when it gets chilly.

But what should you put over top? A bomber!! This is def a look that can be dressed up or dressed down. To the pumpkin patch or out for dinner.

Just in case you needed a reason to shop or go through your closet and see what you’ve got. I have your back. Haha! Now let’s stroll into this week with a strong, hot coffee, and the excitement of a new season on the horizon.

Have a fabulous Monday full of style and I also hope it’s just, like, easy.

Godspeed.

Fall Fashion 2022

It’s that time again! Fall Fashion!!!

This is my favorite (and seventh) post I do all year long. Even though I’ve been m.i.a. with my fashion things, I’d never miss this! It’s that time of year when we start talking about all things fall. Do I decorate for fall September 1st also known as today? Oh yes. So I’m kicking off my yearly Fall Fashion List with a color…my favorite one…

  1. “Amazon” which is basically Kelly Green

Of course this is my number one. For me, green is always “trending” because it’s most certainly my favorite color. Even my bridesmaids wore this color ten years ago. But, for this Fall Fashion season it’s all about green. I love how playful the color is. Wear it head to toe or use it for that perfect pop of color.

2. Olive Green

Who’s ready for a dirty martini? Give me three huge gorgonzola stuffed olives in mine. That’s the exact color we are talking about. Green again? You bet. If the brighter green isn’t for you give this fabulous color a shot. It’s a huge staple color in my closet for more reasons than it matches my eyes. It goes with so much. Pair it with tan, black, or deep purple perhaps.

Find these great transitional joggers and jacket from Banana Republic.

3. Corsets

This is always such a fun trend I always love. Lingerie on the outside. It adds an edge and a lot of interest to an outfit. This super chic corset is from Victoria Secret because I might be one of the only people not mad at them. You can try this look over a sheer top like I did or as always, a blazer is your best friend. Wear it under one with high waisted pants.

4. Transparent & 5. Black on Black

Out of all of the looks I’ve done for Fall Fashion this one is my favorite. It speaks very much to my overall style which I refer to as “Edgy Glam”. I combined two trends in this look and the first is transparent and sheer looks. This amazing bodysuit from “We Are Hah” was a fantastic purchase. The next is black on black, which is an ongoing trend but it was all over the Paris and Milan catwalks. When rocking this look think about mixing textures for a more elevated vibe. I chose sheer and a shiny snakeskin.

6. Cutouts

A little edgy and a little chic. Always up by alley! Try it with s bold shoulder, too. Next time you’re buying a dress think about showing a little rib.

7. Colored Leather

In the fall, one of the best ways to add texture to an outfit is a leather type of material. This year it’s all about colored leather. This Cognac color is very on point.

8. Molten Lava

I’m all about the colors most of the time and I deeply love red. Molten Lava was everywhere for London’s Fashion Week. So step into fall in this vibrant and bold color and get ready to sizzle.

As always trends are just that and if you don’t like it never be a prisoner of them. Wear what you love.

Stay tuned because this weekend I’m bringing you three bonus trends because I simply couldn’t help myself.

Thank you for stopping by! Now go enjoy that Thursday and make sure to end it with a little bubbly.
