My Martini Moment

Summer in a (very pretty) Glass

Happy Friday, Friends!

I’m pretty sure I could drink this every day. Plus, what’s more refreshing than a lemonade on a very hot summer day? You probably know by now I’m here for the fresh Basil. I swear I have other herbs but this one is by far my favorite.

What makes a drink taste even better? Pretty glasswear! Dragon Glasswear gifted me these beautiful Wave Wine Glasses and I’m in love. They are from the Aura Collection and have an iridescent hue to them. I figured that only a very pretty drink should go in them.

This is absolutely not the last time I’m making this one. But, let me tell you how to make a drink look like this.

what you do:

  1. Boil the water and then add sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.

  2. Add blueberries and basil and simmer for five minutes.

  3. Strain into bowl so that the solids don’t get mixed into the syrup.

  4. Let cool to room temperature.

This one is fancy (pinky up!) but so easy. Throw everything in a shaker with ice and pour into (pretty) glasses full of ice. Garnish with basil and blueberries! Perfect for a hot day!

Enjoy the weekend Pretties!

Sippin’ on Gin & Herbs

Happy Friday Friends!!

Anyone else feel just a little more creative with a cocktail?

Well here we are with another Summer month coming to an end. This is about the time when I’m all about Fall. Shopping Fall Fashion, Fall decor, you name it and like many of you, can’t wait to get into all things pumpkin. But, being the Gemini I am, I’m also savoring Summer.

Today’s drink is all about the heat of Summer. The combination of Gin and Prosecco is beyond refreshing, but add in fresh herbs and it takes the drink to another level. Now I know I’ve been doing a lot of Prosecco lately but I love it and well.. it pairs with Summer quite well.

what you do:

Add lemon juice, basil, sugar, and lemonade to a shaker and muddle. Then, add ice and shake. Strain into glass, then pour in your gin. Finally stir and top with Prosecco. Garnish with fresh basil and lemon. Enjoy!

I hope your weekend if full of fresh drinks and lots of fun!

The Extra Bloody Mary

Happy Friday to all of you!

Short, sweet, and to the point today! As I’ve said about a hundred times I love a theme. Since I did a Brunch recipe on Wednesday, I figured the right thing to do was have a drink for Brunch, too! Now I’ll be very honest I only do a Bloody Mary two ways. They are thrown together in about one minute with tomato juice, Tabasco, Worcestershire, a dash of lemon juice, and of course vodka. I don’t measure anything either. The other kind I make is a little…extra.

For this one I add everything to a cocktail shaker full of ice and pour into a glass of ice. You don’t have to get as garnish crazy as I did but please feel free.

Enjoy the weekend!
