My Martini Moment

A Spring Swig

Well, we’ve made it to another Friday and another Martini Moment.

Now I know that we ask a random rodent when he thinks that Spring will be here and we believe him but it sure has felt like Spring weather this week. There is something about the end of February that gets me (and probably all of us) excited for the warmer season on it’s way. As always I love to cook seasonally. Along with that, I like to drink seasonally, too. This drink recipe screams Spring with the lemons and fresh Thyme.

what you do:

  • Add honey and hot water to a cocktail shaker and stir until well combined

  • Toss in blackberries and muddle

  • Add vodka and lemon juice and ice

  • Shake, shake, shake!

  • Pour into a glass over a strainer so that it will collect any blackberry bits

  • Garnish with blackberries, lemon, and fresh Thyme

We are all totally ready for Spring right? Right. Enjoy your weekend and I hope you do something fabulous! For me? Our next big job starts Sunday. Cocktails will be required.

A Chic Rita

Hello and Happy Friday to you!

Yesterday was “National Drink Wine Day”, a pretty great holiday if you ask me. Well get ready because we have another boozy holiday coming…”National Margarita Day” which is February 22nd. I feel it is my responsibility to make sure you, my dear reader, are prepared for this not so ordinary Monday.

Keeping on brand with me I decided to give you a very chic Margarita

what you do:

It’s an easy one! Throw it all in a shaker with ice and strain over crushed ice.

I’m pretty obsessed with St. Germain and it is the perfect addition to this cocktail. So go ahead, get fancy and enjoy this delicious Marg this weekend…or even better, on Monday.

Have a fabulously fun weekend!

Love Potion

Happy Friday!

Who’s ready for a drink?…

With Valentine’s Day being next weekend, I thought my next two drink recipes should follow that theme. I think I’ve come to realize that so many of my favorite drink recipes are ones that have some bubbles.

This recipe is simple and a tad different. Simply add everything but the Rosé to a cocktail shaker full of ice and shake, shake! Strain into two glasses and top with Rosé.

enjoy!

This is a great drink to make if you’re staying in for Valentine’s Day! We love to stay in for Vday but MK has something planned for this one. All I know is it will be our first totally kid free date night in a year!

Have a fantastic weekend!
