The Anytime Trend

I am sure you have been seeing the crop top trend a lot of places. I've been quite a fan for some time but there is a right and wrong way to pull off this trend effortlessly. The right way to wear this is to keep just a tiny sliver of skin in between the top and bottom. The fantastic part about this fabulous trend you'll be seeing constantly is that you can dress it up or down.

Pictured above,  MK and I at the Charles Krypell Designer show at my work last October. I had been seeing that this was an up and coming trend at the time so I went for it. The crop top and Midi skirt are also a popular combination and this skirt is still one of my very favorites. Check out that ring I got to wear, perks of working in high end jewelry store! Aquamarine, Blue Sapphires, and diamonds really made this outfit!

Below is a more dressed down look. Clearly I am a fan of black and blue! Which, as I read earlier this week used to be on the "don't" list but has now made it on to the "do" list. Either way I don't care if it's a do or don't I love it!

Military Dress

Just as you, I am also very excited for Spring to arrive. I mean come on it has been one cold winter, right?! I simply can't wait to do my bi-yearly dressing room transformation. I look forward so much to taking everything in my closet from Winter to Spring. Having said that, this is the perfect opportunity to wear some of your favorite pieces that you will dearly miss as the weather warms up. For me I always miss my faux fur, actually I'm wearing some as I type this.

There are a lot of things happening in this photo. First, I am combining two trends for Spring and the first is the shirt dress which is everywhere this season and so is military green. Second, I am wearing some things that I'll miss when the new season arrives. My high boots which have been a staple this winter and my faux fur and feather vest. Call this a transition outfit as it had a little of both seasons. Also, can this snow please leave so we can frolic into Spring?!

Mellow Yellow

Every season has an "it-color" and this year it's yellow. Before you say no to this lovely trend that screams Spring, remember that yellow can be worn by anyone, you just have to try on different hues of yellow that pair well with your skin tone. Also make sure that you stay true to you. Obviously the runway styles tend to be a little out there for everyday life. Wear it the way you feel comfortable. Add floral's with your yellow or blue, this cooler tone works because of the opposing colors from the color wheel. Now, don't wait! Go out there and be bright!
