Sinch In A Pinch

Every woman knows that sometimes the first outfit we put on in the mornings isn't always the one we decide to wear for the day. Well yesterday was one of those days for me. About five minutes before I was supposed leave for work I decided that I hated my outfit and that I must change immediately. So I did, into this. It was a perfect color combo (opposite ends of the color wheel) but it sure was missing something...

A belt! Not just any belt, my skinny leopard belt! This has been my old faithful for about 10 years. It's saved many outfits in it's day. If there would be one accessory to get this is it. Leopard is basically a neutral so it goes with everything. The difference between wearing a belt and not is amazing. If you ever need to add some pizazz to an outfit look to a belt to show off your shape and add some style.

Snazzy Stripes

Well, here we are in the middle of July and there are two words stuck in my head.. Fall Fashion. This is the time of year when all that are into fashion start getting very excited. Now, I love summer, pretty dresses, flip flops, and showing off my pedicure but every year I get so excited for the new trends that are to come this Fall. This is always when I start collecting pieces for the upcoming fashion season. Did I just order boots? You bet.

As for now, I'll continue to enjoy the breezy summer style. I love a flouncy floral skirt with a stripped shirt! Pair that with a navy and pink color scheme and you are in business for the perfect summer outfit.

Here is a little tip about wearing stripes: If you are taller stick with bigger stripes, if you are more petite go with smaller stripes. But really, don't worry too much about them, they don’t make much of a difference to perceived height and weight.

Chic Shorts

Recently I had someone ask me how to make shorts a little more dressy. In this case it's all about the fabric. You don't want a nice pair of shorts that lose their luster as soon as you iron them. Look for a fabric that is going to keep its shape. The ones that I have on are 97% cotton 3% spandex which lets there be a little give in the fit but still be structured.

Another thing to really take into consideration is the length. No booty shorts in the office please. These Bermuda shorts are perfect to take from day to night. Adding a pretty heel with them will elongate your legs and make them perfect to wear to work and then for cocktails later. Also, don't be afraid to play with color!
