Lovely Layers

Sometimes all it takes to add some style to a look is to layer it. At this point in the season I am always sick of wearing the same things. I start to get a little more creative in an effort to pull myself out of the winter blues.

A button down shirt is going to be something you will need in your closet this Spring. Denim is great because you can do so many different things and also easy to layer.

These burgundy tights were one of the best purchases I've made.  This color goes with so much more than you would think. 

It's always nice to add a little more "pop" to an outfit with a belt. Even if it's only slightly visible. I'm all about extra pops!

Killer Kors!

This, my friends is a handbag! Michael Kors is one of my three favorite designers. I have an everyday brown MK bag that I absolutely love and as I have many black bags, I didn't have one that was quite big enough. I'm so excited to add this little number to my wardrobe! Time to celebrate!

Rules Are For Breaking

There are so many fashion myths that I feel the need to debunk. Three actually. The first is hard to tell in this photo but one "rule" is not not mix blue with black. My pants are navy, top is black. 

Another myth is to always match your shoes to your handbag. That's all well and good and defiantly has a look of its own, I say mix and match.  

Lastly, the don't mix gold and silver rule. I'm personally sick of this one. My bracelets are Alex and Ani and are meant to be mixed but even still, I don't think you need to be a "silver person" or a "gold person". Mix 'em and have fun!
